Review of Nashville (1975) by Peter H — 06 Sep 2007
This is just...mind-blowing. It's Altman at his best--it's got an amazing depth and a great cast. Tomlin has probably her best role of her career, but the most eye-catching, to me, was Ronee Blakley as Barbara Jean.
She doesn't have as many scenes as some of the other characters, but she exudes tragedy and frailty. This was just an amazing movie; one you have to watch several times to catch everything.
