Review of My Mother the Spy (2000) by Robyn M — 30 Jul 2012
My Mother the Spy is: a summer flick, you know the 'Made for TV movie' that goes straight to DVD. Sure it screams low budgeted and was filmed in mostly in Vancouver.
Yet from the beginning it established an audience, and great start to a quacky and sometimes shacky storyline. There are parts you actually see the mick on the top screen, or the cut between the stunt doubles and actual actor doing karate moves. I looked past it's flaws, an admit I enjoyed the movie like I do with chocolate.
