Review of Mulholland Dr. (1999) by Mark F — 20 Aug 2011
This movie gets five stars from me because it is literally the scariest movie I have ever seen. Scarier than any fucking horror movie. Scarier than the exorcist or the shining. I couldn't even finish it.
I suspect the only thing scarier than David Lynch's mind is probably hell itself. To be honest, I didn't even know what was happening in this movie. It was more of a feeling of fear and dread.
It was like David Lynch knew exactly what my deepest fears were and tapped into my nightmares. Then the fucker made it into a movie. I had to close my laptop screen in a cold sweat. Twin Peaks scares the shit out of me too.
