Review of Mr. Roosevelt (2017) by Marnie71 — 18 Jul 2018
I would give this film an extra star if it weren't for Emily, the most annoying central character in cinematic history. The childish antics - temper tantrums, sulky faces and alarming mood swings of a 2 year old - are almost intolerable and frankly completely unbelievable.
NOBODY behaves like this and it's that unbelievability that tugs the viewer out of the world of the film. Other than that, it's an entertaining indie flick that is deliciously whimsical, edgy and original.
