I'm shocked this movie passed completely under the radar. baumbach is amazing, and really captures not only the way people speak but all those things we don't speak about. like high fidelity, this movie plums the shallow depths of male neuroses.
it shows us what is most primal in us in terms of the way we view relationships, our past and our partners' pasts and sex. this level of honesty can make you cringe. I certainly recognize my own paranoia and jealousy here.
the conversations that come out of this movie are enlightening.
