Review of Monster in the Closet (1986) by Mary . — 17 Oct 2009
The last time I saw this movie was at least 15 years ago, and all I remembered was that there was a xylophone, and a bunch of people destroying their closets. I'm happy to say the actual film is far more ridiculous than that.
"Monster in the Closet" is unabashedly campy, and even when it's not explicitly poking fun at itself, you get the impression that it's meant to be. This isn't to say that it's a -good- movie in any sense of the word, because it most certainly isn't.
But with some friends, and/or booze, "Monster in the Closet" is an immensely entertaining experience, in a very "Mystery Science Theater 3000" sort of way.
