Review of Moebius (2013) by Anne L — 08 Dec 2015
No penis.
A disruptive relationship leads to an unfortunate accident and a young man has his penis removed. He rolls in rough cliques and needs to appear to be normal, despite his lacking essential equipment. However, it becomes apparent the young man is lacking some his parts. Meanwhile, he has his own unique methods of pleasure.
Ki-duk Kim, director of Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring; 3-Iron; Dream; Time; The Bow; Wild Animals; Crocodile; Pieta; and The Coast Guard, delivers Moebius. The storyline for this picture is very interesting and well done. There are some very intense scenes and worthwhile character development and the acting is solid.
This was recently added to the Netflix online queue so I had to add it to the wish list. This was better than average, has some unique qualities and scenarios, and an intense conclusion. This isn't perfect, but is definitely worth watching once.
Grade: B.
