Review of Memories of Murder (2003) by Junghee L — 03 Nov 2007
5 stars for Mr. Bong! Director Bong saved Korean movie industry by making this film. When this film was introduced in Korea it quickly became controversial because the murderer is still on the run you see.
(This movie is based on a true story) If you get into Bong style humour you'd love this film even more. Still a bit scary for me to watch. It is not exactly a blood-bath but this movie will haunt your dreams! And what a great title for a movie with a serial killer.
'Chueok' is a more of a melancholy term for 'memories'. More like 'reminiscence'.
