Review of Matinee (1993) by Glen M — 07 Mar 2011
An affectionate, but sadly forgotten, tribute to 1950s B-movies. The scenes from the fictional film MANT (half man, half ant) are exceptionally well done, always funny, but very accurate and never veering too far into the realm of parody.
John Goodman is king. Probably my favorite Joe Dante film, aside from the obvious Gremlins.
