Without Heather Matarazzo, Jennifer Coolidge, Deborah Theaker, and Peter S. Williams, this would simply be obnoxious. They make this watchable. The material is often good, but Ryan Boggus is just so bad that it's almost uncomfortable to watch.
In a bad way. The actual "Jesus Christ Spectacular" that is performed is one of the most disturbing moments in all of cinema history. I found it more disturbing than the party scene in Jacob's Ladder.
It was Leslie Jordan's fault.
