Review of Mamma Roma (1962) by Kyle M — 19 Nov 2007
True to the tradition of neorealism (in which Pasolini arrived too late to truly participate). High contrast. Wide, scenic shots. And the soundtrack, rather than fluctuating for dramatic effect, plays as background music to even the most important dialogue.
