Review of Mame (1974) by Christopher P — 18 Feb 2009
Mame would have to be my favourite movie of all time. It is a light hearted musical with very catchy songs and also has lots of drama. Set in the depression, it's the life and times of Mame, played by Lucille Ball.
Yes, it's had it's share of negative critics over time about Lucille Ball's singing but so what ! ? So she might sing a little off key, at least she didn't let someone sing for her. I will always love this movie and can watch it over and over again.
Recommened for musical fans and of course, Lucille Ball fans.
