Review of Magnolia (1999) by Kyle S — 20 Feb 2013
This 3 hour masterpiece is one of the best films I have ever seen. A collection of mirrored stories all meet to create a intense, funny, thrilling, suspenseful ride that doesn't let up and make it's run time fly by.
Anderson is impressive as his attention to detail and his ability to cover many topics in a film, making them all recognizable while not in your face obvious is a great feat. Their are plenty of people to root for or against in this film.
None of them being perfect, all full of flaws that make them human and relatable. Just a wonderful collection of anything can and will happen. I don't have a single bad thing to say about the cast, and I am having a hard time picking a favourite performance as everyone really shines.
Go out of your way to see this.
