Review of Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles (2014) by Greg W — 13 Dec 2014
Great to see Orson Welles on the silver screen again? The Father of Independent Film the film calls him. And so true. The film is a little slow in the end as was his career which started big with "Citizen Kane" and ended with a whimper.
Orson Welles loved film but the studios did not love him and would not give him money. What's new for Independent Filmmakers? He died trying, literally. Right at his desk while writing.
