Following on from watching Shane Meadows' This Is England I took at look at Tim Roth's frustrated and overtly angry performance from a film made in the era Meadows' film refers to. Two films that approach similar subjects differently.
Whereas Meadows' film veers towards a 'slice-of-life' approach there's more a discussion of the system and its failings which gives this a bit more depth even if the support acting was a bit Grange Hill.
