Review of Lo (2009) by Jesus C — 27 Jul 2017
Lo is one of the strangest Rom-Com I've ever seen. The makeup and production set is superb for a low budget film. The demons are like something you would find in a Guillermo del Toro's sketch book of monsters.
The writing is witty, but at times the demons would say a joke or do something that doesn't fit the tone of the film or were just too juvenile. The lead, Justin, and his love, in human form, give dull performances and aren't as interesting as the demons.
I still enjoyed Lo for its originality and weirdness.
