Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by David S — 08 Apr 2012
It's misleading to describe "Little Miss Sunshine" as a purely a comedy. Such a label would invalidate what an emotionally satisfying film it is. It is certainly funny, but it is undercut with such genuine emotion that what sticks out the most in this brilliant film is how these unhappy, dysfunctional people depend on each other to get through the darkest moments of the film.
