Review of Little Miss Sunshine (2006) by Keenan S — 15 Jul 2013
I feel really stupid for waiting so long to watch this superb dramedy, but I guess later is better than never. One of the things that distinguishes Little Miss Sunshine from most other comedies is its quirky and unique cast of characters who have their own motivations and goals, which the film takes time to analyze each of them.
Because of this, you become attached to this dichotomy of characters because each one feels unique and real. Also, unlike most other dramedies, this is one that blends drama and comedy together perfectly so that they never clash, but flow naturally into each situation.
In short, the film is superbly written, brilliantly acted, absolutely hilarious, heartbreaking, and heartwarming all at the same time. If you love a good dramedy, don't wait any longer to see this superb film.
