Review of Last Orders (2001) by Evelyn M — 03 Sep 2007
A sad but heartwarming film about friends laboured with the task of scattering a dear friends ashes some distance away. On their trip each character loses themselves in their memories of their late friend giving us an insight to their lives and friendships as a group.
I found this film very credible and thought provoking. It is very cleverly written, each scene is both evocative and sentimental and carries with it a gentle wit and a smile. The cast itself draws you to the film and as expected they deliver a sensational performance.
A great British film.
