Last Cab to Darwin totally fails, making drama light of the unbearable suffering and torture that people in the dying stages go through. Instead Last Cab opts for a miraculous recovery, with our protagenist hero at the last moment resisting euthanasia so as to magically recover from terminal cancer.
As they say "only in the movies". This sets us back some 30 years or more.
