Review of Larry Crowne (2011) by Kimberly H — 21 Apr 2013
I think you have to live the bits of Larry Crowne to truly appreciate what it says and enjoy it for what it is. Larry's benefit in surviving is he is able to start over because he's alone and able to let go of everything and go back to college--even though he doesn't need it to work at his old job, he has learned it all on the job.
This craze of businesses to insist upon degrees when experience ALWAYS trumps degrees is insane. Larry could run the business better than his supervisors and as shown one of his former supervisors (the one that did graduate) was also fired, most likely for inability to do the job.
I have personal experience with someone like that.
