Review of Lake Consequence (1995) by Brian I — 20 Jul 2011
Alright, let me try to put my feelings about this movie into words. It all began when we were sitting around looking for a movie to watch on Netflix, and we knew we'd go with this movie from the moment we saw its poster.
From the moment the crazy drum flash backs begin and the crazy bitch main character is getting a little too close to her husband with their toddler son watching, we knew we were in for a ride. As things unfolded, with the main character falling asleep as she is essentially being inadvertently kidnapped and with Billy Zane fucking everybody across Chinatown and at some crazy bath house, things were rather intense.
The movie ends with what's basically a rape and then Billy Zane says, more or less, "Fuck you, I'm out, enjoy being a housewife with a guilty conscience." Respectable if you ask me.
