Krampus is a cult classic. By this very definition, you will either love this movie, and add it to your annual holiday movie watching traditions. Or, it will not be your cup of tea. The only way you can hate this movie, is if you expected something very different than what the final project produced.
Krampus is great if you loved Grimlins. It is a comedy horroresque, movie that checks all the right boxes for those that hate the cheap thrills of jump scares, but are not in the mood for a silly "Magic of the Season" movie.
I love this film, but think it is greatly harmed by calling it a good film. The viewing experience should come from a place of either neutral curiosity, or expectations of a unwatchably bad movie. After you fall in love, it holds up upon second viewing.
