A nifty idea ... doing King Lear in 1830s Texas, but this offering is a bit too flat. It's a TBS/Hallmark movie, so I guess it couldn't be too violent, but I wanted more villainy and malevolence.
Good performances at least make it watchable. Grade: C+.
