Review of King Kong (1933) by Kenneth S — 16 Jun 2009
KING KONG is, without a doubt, one of the greatest films ever made. It's just about the fastest hour and forty minutes you'll ever spend watching a movie. It's a legendary work of art that still manages to overshadow every other giant monster movie ever to come after it.
The special effects were revolutionary, and I still prefer them to anything anyone could do with CGI. We all know the story of the group of daring filmmakers who travel to Skull Island in search of "Kong" and the fate that befalls them and the world.
There are plenty of classic, memorable moments, and this is a film that never gets tiring. This is a truly remarkable motion picture experience.
