Review of Kath & Kimderella (2012) by Harry W — 16 Mar 2013
Kath & Kimderella was ok. It gave a second chance for the characters from the classic Aussie tv series to shine again, and they were just as funny as ever. The film was made really well and it had a few good laughs, as well as a cameo by classic Aussie comedian Frank Woodley.
But Kath & Kimderella is overshadowed by problems. It's setting is too bizarre for the characters and the story is way too farfetched, which is a problem especially because the original tv series was just so real and simple, and this seems too impossible. Plus, the surrounding characters weren't all that funny and there were a few too many strange twists in the story. It shoulda just stayed in Fountain Gate, so ultimately Kath & Kimderella is worth checking out if you're a fan, but don't get your hopes up.
