Review of Jungle Fever (1991) by Yet R — 16 May 2008
This is one of my favorite movies ever for many reason. More than just the issue of interracial dating, the nuances of ethnicity in dating are also discussed here. The relevance of history is discussed here.
Both the timeless beauty of Ruby Dee and the brilliance of Ossie Davis as the good rev doctor--and the sheer wonder of them together..... The humor, familiarity, irony and pain of Gator (Samuel Jackson's character).
I could go on and on.
