Maybe one of the best movies ever! I've seen it many times, but it never stops riveting me :) Beautiful story, magnificent scenery and great actors! Daniel Auteuil as Ugolin is really something :) Yves Montand as his master too.
And Depardieu, which everyone knows as a great actor, fits perfectly as the slightly manic Jean de Florette. The "sequal" 'Manon des Sources' is equally well made, and seeing them together will give you many hours of cinema at its best!
