J. Edgar provided an interesting, but in many ways speculative detailing of one of 20th century America's most influential individuals. Where it lacked in portraying more public aspects of Mr. Hoover's life and career, it more than made up for by discussing so much more of his private life.
I was not surprised when I discovered that this movie is by Dustin Lance Black. He is very talented and this movie is an excellent addition to his resume. I highly recommend this movie to all, especially those in the LGBT community.
