Review of Ivanhoe (1952) by Robert P — 29 Jan 2008
Static story and wooden acting. As a viewer I got the impression there was a much more intersting story taking place off screen connected to the imprisonment of Richard. None of the excitement of a similar film made a year or two later, Knights of the Round Table.
The wobbly sword is a bit much to take even for the 50s.
