Review of Iron Man (2008) by Emile H — 24 Jul 2017
From the moment you watched this movie you knew you were being plunged into a new type of superhero movie. And it all started here. Right here. Robert Downey Jr. is perfect casting as Tony Stark. He gave Bruce Wayne a run for his money with his performance while his origin is provided step by step to his first real suit.
The other characters do well, always being concerned for Tony, some for their own personal reasons. Add a mix of action and Jon Favreau's penchant for combining what can be seen as kid's stuff with enough grit and edge for all audiences to enjoy, and you got yourself the building block of the next nearly ten years.
It's crazy to see how far Marvel has gone ever since, but its humble beginnings still remain fresh in the mind.
