Review of Iron Jawed Angels (2004) by Melody L — 24 Nov 2007
The story of Alice Paul (You know who susan b. anthony and elizabeth cady stanton are. Alice Paul is the woman who was actually responsible for winning the 19th Amendment in the 1920s. She was the first documented person to picket the white house.
She was imprisoned and the government tried to prove that she was insane to keep her from speaking in public. NO ONE KNOWS WHO SHE IS because the government wanted to hid what they did to a WOMAN SEEKING EQUALITY within her DEMOCRATIC government.
She is an American hero (my hero) and is due acknowledgement and respect. Watch it, FANTASTIC acting, script, cinemotography and an unexpected genre for a soundtrack. This is perhaps the best movie I've ever seen.
