I had been a long time fan of the scum manifesto. if you eat around the man hating you can really take quotes from it that mean something. this is coming from a male queer. I dind't appreciate her view on transpeople, but candy darling was a huge voice in this film and I am just really glad they put her in there.
if you don't care for valerie solanas, watch this for its depiction of the warhol scene. valerie never really belonged, and the fact that she was constantly written off as a "man hating dyke bitch" in the film really made me think twice about some of the people warhol surrounded himself with.
anyway, this movie is great, and valerie solanas, for all her flaws, was a great woman who wrote what she believed despite overwhelming criticism. she was truly a great mind.
