The greatest quote in any film, "I tried my best to transcend my feelings and to resign myself to a life of quiet desperation.".
Though I can't say I enjoy watching somebody re-enact two decades of making the same mistakes. He portrayed the problem as so chronic and inherent to who he was and his view of love that it was difficult to understand how he eventually transcended it.
