Review of Hurt (2009) by Alex C — 11 Apr 2012

I had read in one review that the mom sounds like she's reading the ingredients on a ceral box, but I had assumed that was an exaggeration. It is not. Melora Walters has all the acting ability and charisma of a rock.

She gets better as the movie goes on (...or I just got used to it). I didn't care about this movie at all until around minute 65, where there's a nice scene between the mother and brother-in-law as the family starts to break down.

Hurt is a dark movie. You want happy ending? Try other massage parlor.
