Review of House of Pleasures (2011) by Matt M — 28 Jun 2012
Stylish and beautiful. Bonello is quite skilful at building his claustrophobic atmosphere. The best feature of the film is that it avoids misogyny and comes across as un-exploitative, though it reserves its few visual shocks.
