Review of Hotel Chevalier (2007) by Jefferson R — 04 Oct 2007
Obviously written and directed by Wes Anderson. Full of extremely dry, dark humor, but also comes with a scene of sexuality that is usually masked by awkwardness in his films, but here is not. The story is of heartbreak and love, and Wes Anderson hits it right on the head.
The camera angles are mesmerizing (I especially love the close up shot of Natalie brushing her teeth). I cannot wait until I see the Darjeeling Limited.
