Review of Hombre (1967) by Rj H — 22 Jun 2008
An unsung western from an unsung and talented director Martin Ritt. Newman is brilliantly complacent cool and laid back showing a new definition of cool. Its a strong piece filled with strong, interesting and diverse characters.
Whilst the plot and script is far from perfect there is enough leverage to make this one of the more diverse and entertaining westerns you're likely to see.
