Review of Harry Brown (2009) by Alessandra F — 10 Feb 2012
Excellently directed, shot and acted. The scenes with the horrid drug dealer with old man clean face opposed by this sort of sin city caricature of a human are amazing. The sort of young degraded humanity depicted is not that far from the youths that ran amok last year in major UK cities.
It makes you think that this film was made two years earlier. Last year I felt too that rage at the scenes of destruction of both proerties and lives just for entertainment. In this light the riots in the estate are even too realistic.
The final twist is also very good.
