Review of Hana Yori Dango: Final (2008) by Raeha B — 04 Apr 2010
The ending of one of my favorite Japanese TV dramas. *tear* Just like the show it got a bit ridiculous at times, but by the end you forgot about all that because of the heart. Matsumoto and Inoue have the greatest chemistry and it shone extremely bright in this movie.
They have the characters of Domyouji and Makino spot on! Some of the greatest characters I've ever met in story. The plot takes them all over, encountering difficulties in Las Vegas, Hong Kong, and a deserted island of the South Pacific.
Their love is tested and proved. Domyouji knows without a doubt through the entire story that Makino is the only woman for him and loves her always. As usual Makino's journey of thinking out her feelings leaves Domyouji a little more grown up.
Would love to have more of this couple, but they say this is the end. Loved this movie more for the story than for actual greatness of movie.
