Review of Hamlet (1996) by Emsal H — 27 Jan 2008
A pleasure to see the play in its entirety. Beautiful to look at and solid performances all around (with the possible exceptions of [regrettably] Jack Lemmon and Gerard Depar-don't. A must-see on the big screen.
Such a fine piece of work, one can almost forgive Branagh's self-aggrandizing Jesus Christ pose (thanks Soundgarden) at the end of the movie. Can't wait to see this in hi-def.
