Review of Halloween II (2009) by Rob W — 06 Oct 2012
"More of the night HE came home" is what the poster for this film back in 1981 read to the public, and need I say, this was a worthy follow-up. People hate it because the 'suspense' is gone, or that the blood, guts and gore are elevated, but I call bullshit.
It was the third most suspenseful in the series (close by with H20) and a wonderful thriller. Picking up seconds after the ending of the original, "HALLOWEEN II" follows Laurie as she is at the hospital where Michael finds her and begins to hunt her once more, while Dr.
Loomis digs deeper into Michael's files and uncovers some unholy things. Music was just as good as the original, even gives it a bit more a suspenseful feel to it. If you are looking for a way to pass your night, get this film and "HALLOWEEN" on DVD and watch both back-to-back, you will not be disappointed.
Rating: 5/5.
