Review of Gunday (2014) by Sunny K — 23 Feb 2014
Gunday (Outlaws) Two Refugee boys grow up as the best of friends to become Calcutta crime lords. Then they both fall for a cabaret girl. The law is out to catch them. The movie is a great Bollywood wheel.
There are fantastic moments, then a deep dive into awful, followed by moments of fabulousness. There is no such thing as excess. It may have burned out my concept of what a good movie is, because it is not trying to be.
There is a bromance, a hot woman, chases, fist fights, shootouts, wire work and elaborate dance scenes and musical interludes.
