Review of Goldfinger (1964) by Thomas F — 08 Jul 2013
My personal favorite Bond film. This film has a perfect combination of action and humor throughout, and Connery delivers his best performance as 007. Goldfinger has, out of all the films, the most amazing set of gadgets, villains (especially scheming mastermind Auric Goldfinger and his mute henchman Oddjob) and action scenes, making it the first truly larger than life film of the series.
This was the Bond movie that successfully set the tone for the rest of the series, and is still remembered fondly to this day.
