Review of Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956) by Mike P — 19 Apr 2009

Essentially, this movie consists of scenes from the original Japanese movie of Gojira, with some of the dialogue dubbed in English, and interpolated scenes of Raymond Burr standing at the back of a crowd of Japanese and looking over their shoulders.

Worth noting that all of the discussion on the implications of nuclear testing has been stripped from the film. Perhaps someone thought that wouldn't go down well with the American public - or the American government.
