Review of Gods and Generals (2003) by Zack T — 05 Aug 2007
This movies portrays "Stonewall" Jackson accurately, which pleased me much because he's my all-time favorite general, and he's continually bashed by revisionist historians. Also, Gods and Generals also accurately portrays the everyday life of the soldiers in several key scenes in the movie, as well as showing key social undertones that played important parts in the war, like the Fredricksburg scene where the 69th NY met the Irish Georgians under Gen.
Cobb.
