This is essentially a Bollywood remake of the Jim Carey film Bruce Almighty. Unfortunately Salman Khan doesn't take well to comedy in this version and so the film feels a little flat and not very funny.
The main character Arun comes over as a whinger and I didn't feel a great deal of sympathy for him. Priyanka Chopra as Alia his best friend was ok although there is the inevitable "I realise my best female friend is the one I love" cliche to be endured.
The scene stealer is of course Amitabh Bachchan as the Deity - dignified and dapper in his white suit - film god indeed. Not a film to rush out to see but maybe watch on DVD when there is nothing better to do.
