Review of Go Go Tales (2008) by Andrea V — 03 Nov 2008
It's sad to read so many uninspired reviews about Ferrara's movie, but it doesn't matter. Abel goes along on his straight path, telling us tales of lust and defeat, forgiveness and redemption. His camera flies around on the stairs and in the closets of Ray's Paradise, personal purgatory of our favorite maudit director. Counting money or showing butt cheeks, there goes life in its more debauché but vital kind of way.
Dafoe extraordinarie leads a rich cast, heterogeneous and surprising.
Go Go Tales is another sign of life (in and out cinema) in its purest form.
