Review of Gas Pump Girls (1979) by Gee P — 04 Jan 2010
Gas Pump Girls tries--at least sometimes--but it is too fluffy even for a sexploitation comedy. The premise itself is barely believable, and the jokes seem either asinine or forced. The best scene is the opening one, in which a practical joke during high school graduation leaves several of the high school coeds naked.
The movie goes downhill from here, with predictable characters involved in a predictable plot with only occasional glimpses of feminine flesh to enhance the all-too-predictable dreariness of what is supposed to be an amusing romp.
