This is my favorite Gangster film... hands down, it's aesthetics, performances and story are the bread and butter that's missing from so many American Gangster movies. I put it in the patheon with "Goodfella's" and "Scarface".
Paul Bettany is almost too watchable at times... he's really compelling and is able to tell so much with a glare in this film.
"Lenny, look at me Lenny.... Lenny... Look at my fucking eyes Lenny.".
